Ceaseless Prayer
Ten years since JREV started, we have seen God’s unprecedented move in our country – exposing corruption, uniting believers, restoring the Body of Christ through reconciliation, and installing leaders who have re-ignited a sense that our dreams for the Philippines have yet to be fulfilled.
But yes, prayers “have yet to be fulfilled”! It is quite obvious that we have not yet seen the most radical shift in our nation’s spiritual and moral state. Only some of our prayers have been answered. Befittingly, we neither choose to let our impassioned intercession dwindle.
“Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.” Isaiah 62:1
At the very core of JREV’s message is prayer as key to bringing forth that God-initiated transformation and revival. And at the heart of the movement is uniting churches and all generations to live with a Nazirite burn of prevailing hunger for God. This is also the DNA of its prayer gatherings.
Every Thursday night, believers, young and old, from different churches, unite their voices in worship and intercession. First, to pursue God and the deeper things of His heart. And second, to flow from intimacy and encounter with God, to that place of ministering His compassion to the nation, taking authority and responsibility for the Philippines’ destiny by decreeing God’s will as understood from Scriptures and prophecies. It is our vision to see more people shatter cultural and denominational barriers and converge with a single heart for a great spiritual awakening in our nation.
